From the Archives #13 - El Vez & Alejandro Escovedo

A couple more shots from the archives. First, El Vez, photographed in Austin, Texas in 1996. This was during my first trip to SXSW which I've attended and photographed every year since.

This next one's also from SXSW. This time it's 2002, the last time I shot with film there. Alejandro Escovedo sits for a portrait for Toast Magazine at Maria's Tacos where he hosts a day long show every year. A shot from this session was also used as the promo photo for "Por Vida: A Tribute to the Songs of Alejandro Escovedo".
